Review: ‘Life in the Slow Lane’ by Cheryl Reid

Cheryl Reid is fast becoming a popular wordsmith. This, her second release, is a collection of her poetry.

I’ve never been a fan of poetry but Cheryl’s clever rhyming and often light-hearted subjects can’t fail to make you smile. Here’s a woman who, like many women, is living along, is suffering through not only the menopause but also the credit crunch. Cheryl’s autobiographic poetry shows she is someone who has strength of character and a sense of humour.

Some of Cheryl’s poetry has a more emotional side to it and some of her poems are very moving.

She’s the new Pam Ayres.
